Special Ed

I received both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from the University of South Alabama...GO JAGS!!!!

I began my teaching experience at Mobile Association for Retarded Citizens, where I worked for 2 years.

I have been with the Mobile County Public School System for 19 years. I have taught Special Education all 18 years. I taught 2 years at Shaw High School, 4 years at Mobile County Training School, and the remainder of the time has been at Lott Middle School. At Lott Middle School, I have been teaching in the self-contained classroom for 10 years. Prior to that, I was a Special Education inclusion teacher.

I was born and raised in Mobile. I currently live there with my elderly mother. I am a single mother of two grown daughters, Briana and Maria. I am expecting my first grandchild in March. I have 2 dogs-- a Poodle named Popssy, and a mixed breed named Lil-Bitsy. I enjoy spending time with my girls, my pets, and my mom. I also like to travel, crochet, and needlepoint when I am not too extremely busy.
