Electronic Device Policy

2009-2010

 The Mobile County Public Schools Student Handbook & Code of Conduct classifies the possession and use of electronic devices including communication and emerging technologies as a Group "B" offense. MCPSS policy prohibits the use or possession of these devices in schools or other areas of school jurisdiction.

If your student has an electronic device (cell phone, mp3 player, etc.) confiscated by school personnel the following policy will be in place:

1st offense - Parent/Guardian conference required to pickup the electronic device.

2^nd offense - Student assigned to three days school retract.

3^rd and subsequent offenses - three days suspension from school

*Once confiscated all electronic devices are tagged with the student's name, turned into  

  the office and locked in the school vault until picked up by a parent/guardian.
